Adobe Acrobat 9's standard offline PDF editing protects against the editing of PDF files stored on your hard drive or network share. Permissions are set in such a way that only you — or users you've granted the appropriate editing privileges — can see any changes you make offline. You can also determine which parts of your PDFs aren't protected by encryption or watermarking, and edit those areas.
The standard Offline Editing feature enables you to edit your PDF files directly from your computer or network by opening PDFs in Adobe Acrobat and adding, deleting, or modifying information. With real-time support for UTF-8 encoded documents, free variable text, and reorderable items, you can perform edits quickly and easily using the standard tool set of Acrobat with little or no knowledge of PDF or editing. The feature allows you to edit files stored on your hard drive or network share and save the changes to that file. You can also immediately preview your changes in Acrobat before saving them.
Initially, I really liked BlitzMax, it has lots of great plugins, but it has a bad habit of removing all your add-ons on each version upgrade. Plus, even though it's free, the version we downloaded had lots of bugs, with many features not working at all. I returned to looking for a FREE alternative for a serious dashboard maker.
Unfortunately, you don't get much control over this behavior. You can type an "x" when prompted, but that stops Adobe from using Keychain (and any other keychain associates). If the "Allow access to..." button is greyed out, no keychain associates can be used. d2c66b5586
